About The Author
My name is Octavio Moore. I was raised in my grandmother’s home in the projects of Richmond, Virginia, alongside my single mother and several aunts and uncles all under one roof. It was a lively, loving environment that deeply shaped who I am today.
From a young age, I was seen as a bit different creative, talented in many ways, and always driven by curiosity. Around the age of nine, I began writing in what I called a diary. At the time, I didn’t know the word journal I simply needed a space to express myself.
Even as a child, I had a strong desire to grow, learn, and become someone greater. I was ambitious and inquisitive, always striving to better myself intellectually and emotionally. From early on, I knew that one day, I wanted to be successful not just for myself, but so I could give back to the two women who shaped me: my hardworking, loving grandmother and my devoted mother.
My personal journey began early, and I’ve been intentional about evolving physically, mentally, and spiritually ever since, with the goal of becoming someone of purpose and impact.

About Model
I don’t know how or why the passion, yearning, and focus took root in my mind around the age of nine—but it did. One morning, I woke up with a clear and unfamiliar vision: I wanted to become a male model and actor.
At the time, I had no exposure to modeling—no conversations, no role models, no male figures in the industry to look up to. In fact, I wasn’t even sure male models existed. But that morning, something changed. A new purpose awakened in me, and from that day forward, my mind became consumed with one question: How?
How would I make this happen? Where would I even begin?
Unknowingly, my journey started that very morning. Becoming a model wasn’t just an idea—it became my obsession. It was the last thought I had before I fell asleep and the first one I had when I opened my eyes. I often say, I didn’t choose modeling—modeling chose me.
As a young boy from Richmond, Virginia, I had no roadmap, no connections, and no blueprint for success. But deep down, I knew I had no other option. This dream was planted in me for a reason.
Years later, after enduring many hard, lonely, and uncertain times, I finally got the opportunity to move to New York City and sign with a modeling and acting agency. It was surreal—I was overwhelmed with gratitude and ready to give it everything I had. I was living in New York City, pursuing my dream as a professional male model and actor.
The journey hasn’t been easy. It’s been filled with more downs than ups, but I’ve made it farther than I ever imagined. I may not have become a household name, but I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.
That little boy from Richmond, Virginia did what many only dream of—he made it to New York City and chased his vision with heart, resilience, and determination. And that alone is a success story I carry with pride.
About Hairstylist
Growing up, I never imagined I’d become a hairstylist. It wasn’t a dream I held, a goal I talked about, or even something I considered. But apparently, the universe had other plans.
During my junior year of high school, my guidance counselor enrolled me in a technical program. I ended up in a two-year cosmetology course—not because I had a passion for it, but simply to have something to do after school. In fact, my plan was to quit eventually. I figured one day I just wouldn’t show up anymore.
But that all changed when my teachers began to notice something in me. They pointed out early on that I had a natural talent—telling me I was even better than all the girls in the class. I didn’t care much at the time. It didn’t feel like something I truly wanted to pursue.
Still, my instructors saw potential in me that I hadn’t seen in myself. They convinced me to stay, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions I could have made.
Becoming a hairstylist gave me more than a career—it gave me an outlet for creativity. It gave me independence and allowed me to be my own boss. Most of all, it gave me the opportunity to meet and work with extraordinary, beautiful women from all walks of life.
I enjoy being a hairstylist. And if I may say so myself—I’m very good at it.
